Award for an Art Residence at Cill Rialaig, Kelly, Ireland.

The residence will take place from 12th September - 26th October, 2008.

The Cill Rialaig Artists Retreat in Ballinskelligs, South West Ireland is unique. Built out of the ruins of a deserted pre-famine village (circa 1796) atop a cliff face overlooking Ballinskelligs Bay and the Atlantic Ocean on a remote peninsula – nearest point in Western Europe to the ‘New World’ – America.

THE NO TIME AND NO SPACE

The bodies and faces that I paint are immersed in an atmosphere with no indication of time and space. With this fact I try to inquire in the very origin of existence
